Bender was my wildly popular 3D printed case for the Heltec V3 LoRA radio node, there are over 5000 Bender's all across the world which blows my mind! (not a single return too!)
Bender2 is the product of listening to feedback and slowly designing its evolution. At a glance it's classic Bender, but look closer and you see it's completely re-designed with:
- New construction with split body design
- Battery now completely enclosed secured with hex bolts/nuts
- New power switch design with captive, secure button
- Heltec GPS module mounting point
- Three antenna positions (because why not)
- Two battery configurations, single 18650 cell or four 18650 cells!!
- Support for Heltec V3, Heltec T114 and Heltec V4
Assembly is still super simple, only a 2.5mm Allen key and small Philips/cross head screwdriver are needed.

Important Battery Charging Information
The single cell 18650 battery option is a straight forward plug in and charge setup, charging happening only with the switch set to the on position.
The four cell 18650 holder is a parallel battery box. You therefore have to ensure:
- Use matched capacity cells in all positions in the holder
- Charge each cell individually to full capacity before inserting all cells
If you do these two steps you can then charge all cells going forward in Bender as the charges across each will be balanced.
